Water Update | Monday – 11/24/2025 – 8:54AM
“The boil order has been lifted. If you could please post this on the Town’s website, it would be greatly appreciated. We will also be working toward setting up a texting alert system in the future. I just need to look into the process and how it works.” – Water Utility Superintendent
–PAST UPDATES–
**Update**
Water break has been fixed. Boil Water Order is in effect.
**Update** (4PM)
The Baileyville Utilities District is in the process of completing the waterline repair that was done on Route 1 today by the transfer station. The system is required to place a boil water order due to the depressurization of the water system. The system had to be shutdown to safely repair the break. After the service is restored, the system is required to collect bacteria samples within the distribution system. These samples will be collected and delivered to the laboratory on Saturday and tested for Total Coliform. We expect that the DWP will permit us to lift the Boil Water Order by Monday or Tuesday of next week.
**Update** (10AM)
As far as we are aware the road is not closed. Water will be shut off for repairs.
Notice (9AM)
The Baileyville Utility District may have to temporarily shut off water to the town due to a water main break on Route 1.
We are hopeful this doesn’t happen, but it is good to be prepared.
We will post an update as work continues.
