For those new to the program – this program is meant to help low to moderate income homeowners and renters that have fallen behind on their water/sewer utility payments.

     Eligible households will now be able to receive up to $1,000 in credit for future water and/or sewer bills.

     For those who previously received the $500 credit using the Maine Water Assistance Program – you will now also be eligible to receive an additional $500 credit and will not have to reapply to the program to receive the benefit.
