If you are working in a Shoreland Zone District you are required by the State of Maine to be certified in Erosion Control Practices. The Code Enforcement Officer will be checking for this certification for individuals or contractors when a building permit or other permits are presented to work in Shoreland Zoning Districts. If they are not qualified, this could be grounds for denial of a building or Shoreland Zoning permit.
